چکیده
ObjectiveOsteochondral lesions in the knee can occur a high percentage of soccer players. Untreated, symptomatic osteochondral lead to reduced athletic performance, early career-ending, and premature onset osteoarthritis. One treatment options is autologous transplantation with mosaicplasty technique. The study aims investigate long-term outcomes procedure population.DesignIn single-center retrospective study, procedures players between 1992 2011 were investigated. Using International Knee Documentation Committee Bandi score evaluate function, Tegner measure activity, MOCART 2.0 describe cartilage surface. Players' skill level was divided into professional, competitive, recreational groups.ResultsFifty-five out 73 included; 25 had MRI at last follow-up control. average time 17,54 years (10,32-24,91). mean 68.52 ± 16.01 (33-87), 70.8 18.12 (25-95), 80% patient good score. size defects 2,08 cm2 1,19 (1-5 cm2) overall return sport 7,78 2,96 (4-12) months.ConclusionThe has result, no significant decrease functional scores compared other studies even after 20 from surgery. Therefore, reasonable option for small medium-sized knee.

Results of Osteochondral Autologous Transplantation in the Knee
Repair of full thickness defects of articular cartilage in the knee is difficult but important to prevent progression to osteoarthritis. The purpose of this retrospective study was to evaluate the clinical results of Osteochondral Autograft Transplant System (OATS) treatment for articular defects of the knee.Between 1999 and 2005, 15 knees (14 patients) were treated by the OATS technique. Age r...
متن کاملLong-term follow-up of osteochondral autologous transplantation in the metacarpophalangeal joints.
OBJECTIVE To report long‐term follow‐up outcomes on 4 patients who underwent Osteochondral Autologous Transplantation (OAT) for isolated cartilage defects of the metacarpal (MP) head. CONCLUSION Long‐term results suggest that OAT may be a viable surgical option for treatment of cartilage defects of the metacarpal head. METHODS IRB approval was obtained. Six to 8mm grafts obtained from the knee ...

Sport and more specifically football is an important asset in youth lives. It is widely considered that biological maturity influences physical performance. Relationships between body size and performance are partly confounded by age. In fact, age is positively associated to strength and motor performance, even when height and weight are controlled. Studies on young footballer have been start...
متن کاملOutcomes of Total Knee Arthroplasty After Osteochondral Allograft Transplantation.
BACKGROUND Fresh osteochondral allograft (OCA) transplantation is an effective treatment for osteochondral defects. Some patients require further surgical intervention, such as total knee arthroplasty (TKA). The effects of prior OCA transplantation on TKA outcomes are unknown. PURPOSE This study evaluated TKA failure rates after long-term follow-up and identified factors that may have contrib...

Purpose To compare long-term functional and radiological outcome following microfracture technique (MF) versus osteochondral autologous transplantation (OAT) mosaicplasty for treating focal chondral lesions of the knee. Methods Twenty-five patients (mean age 32.3 years, SD 7.7) with a full-thickness (International Cartilage Repair Society grade 3 or 4) chondral lesion of the articulating surfac...
